Scrivener 2 Release

This week Scrivener 2 (writing software) was released. The Faculty Development Committee had kindly agreed to buy the software for Mac-users who identified themselves as interested in getting this software program.

Twenty-two faculty indicated an interest in getting Scrivener. Many of those 22 are also going to the Writing Retreat in about 10 days. Here's what you need to do:

  1. Download version 2 of Scrivener. Use this link to download.

  2. Email Mathew and he will provide you with relevant registration info to unlock the software. However, the software will run in fully functional mode for 30 days before you need to enter the registration info.

  3. Take the time to view the Scrivener Essentials tutorial. Use this link to find out more about the tutorial and to download it.
Windows users feel left out in the cold? Don't worry, Scrivener for Windows is currently being developed (it's actually out as an early public beta). The final stable version should be completed by January or February 2011.
