February Meeting

We had a very lively meeting on February 18th. Emma kindly took notes and you can download them below. The focus of the meeting was discussing the results and implications of the Connections to Schools survey the A1 group developed. Their results were presented by Chris and Sarah. There were a lot of great ideas presented—most of which are captured in Emma's notes.

There was an additional call to action in the meeting where it was suggested that those who want to make an immediate contribution to local K-12 schools meet in the near future. In turn this means the A1 group for the 2014 Visioning process will continue to work on more long term issues, and that this new group will work on smaller, more immediate issues. As an example of a "immediate issue," Geoffrey mentioned that SFUSD would love to have people contribute to their professional development days given that money has dried up due to budget cutbacks. In turn this may represent a real opportunity for USF to create stronger connections with SFUSD.

The March 10th meeting will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. in ED 105.
