SOE Writing Retreat applications are due this Monday, September 21st. Full-time, Assistant, Associate, and Full Professors (tenure-track, term, and tenured) may apply. Priority will be given to junior faculty who are writing-up empirical research articles for peer-review.

The retreat will be begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 13th and conclude on Sunday, November 15th, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. The retreat will be held at the Christian Brothers Retreat and Conference Center in Napa Valley. The retreat house overlooks 500 acres of rolling vineyards and wooded hillsides. Rooms (single occupancy) and meals (prepared by the Center's Chefs) will be covered at no cost to the participants. While some of you may choose to work in your private room, others may choose to use the large conference room that I have reserved for the weekend. To view the Center visit the following link:
If you are interested in attending the retreat, please complete the downloadable application and forward it to me as soon as possible at cjyeh@usfca.edu and no later than Monday, September 21st, 2009.
Applicants (especially junior faculty) focusing on empirical research manuscripts will be given priority.
Spaces are limited to a total of eleven faculty including the Dean and Coordinator (me). All applications will be reviewed by a committee comprised of faculty from USF. Decisions will be sent the week of September 21st. Thank you so much for your interest and support for this important event.
